So Much of Publishing Is Waiting

A tiny bit of news. A sweepstakes on Twitter. Jaran audiobook news.

Furious Heaven is available worldwide (or at least as world wide as it can be since there are currently no translations of the Sun books). Look for it if you haven’t picked it up yet! And if you feel inclined to review it somewhere online, word of mouth is the best advertisement. If you don’t, that’s also totally cool.

I am drafting book three, Lady Chaos. It’s moving forward slowly, so so slowly. Apologies. I wish it was done already but it isn’t, and it’s going to take a while. I appreciate your patience. It will be as complex and in some ways more challenging to write than Furious Heaven was, and FH was by several degrees more complex and challenging than Unconquerable Sun. So here we are. Never say I don’t over complicate my writing life!

Meanwhile I am also revising a fantasy manuscript I wrote straight through to the end last summer. That is, I’m revising it into a duology. Fortunately it has a definite break point. I can’t announce anything further about the story yet but I will as soon as I can. While nothing is confirmed yet, it will likely be available in 2025, with the volumes being published fairly close together. I’m excited about it and hope to be able to talk more about the project asap.

I have a couple of other irons in the fire but until I know more I can’t speak to those either. In other words, so much of publishing is waiting.

Tantor Media has already assigned a voice actor, Cindy Kay, to the Jaran books.

AND they’re already available for preorder, being published in quick succession in August, September, October, and December 2023.

The final Crown of Stars volume is ALSO coming in September 2023, voiced by Shiromi Arserio.

My thanks to all the Crown of Stars listeners for making the audio series successful enough (on its small scale) that Tantor was eager to publish more of my backlist in audio format, not to mention bringing out the Jaran books so quickly.
